About the 2011 Deepings Raft Race

The 2011 Deepings Raft Race was held on Sunday 7th August and drew a record number of spectators and stall holders.

The sun shone and good fun was had by all with many of you posting positive comments on the website contact page.

The School banner competition was well supported with a huge numbers voting on the on-line voting page...we now know the winning school and once they have been informed we will post their name on our website.

Carole and Rob Hugh's from Anna’s Hope, our 2011 main receiving sponsor, were at the event and Carole met and personally thanked as many people as she could. We know Carole was blown away by the support this event receives and the support afforded to the Anna’s Hope Charity. Again, very soon we will be able to update you on how much was raised, before, during and after the event.

Without two very important groups of people, the rafters and sponsors, this event just wouldn't happen. So a big thank you to all of them, some returning year after year and many new to the event for 2011.

Main Charity

Carole & Robert Hugh were delighted that the organising committee of the 2011 Deepings Raft Race chose Anna's Hope as the main receiving charity. It is really special when the local community supports our charity.

We really do appreciate it when ordinary people challenge and push themselves to raise money to help others. Anna's Hope is small local charity and supports children and young people in this region who have a brain tumour and EVERY SINGLE PENNY you raise will go directly to help them and their families.
